Graham Burchell was born in 1950 in Canterbury, England. In 1976 he graduated from the University of Sussex and embarked on a teaching career that would take him to various places around the world including Zambia, Saudi Arabia, Tenerife, Mexico, France and Chile. His first children’s fantasy novel ‘Wumpleberries and Gronglenuts’ was published in 2003 and the sequel 'Thr Ice Spells of Krollinad was published in 2005. He has written one other novel for adults. He is the winner of the 2005 Chapter One Promotions Poetry Competition and the runner up in the 2005 ‘Into Africa’ International Poetry Competition judged by Roger McGough. He was also given an 'honorable mention' in the Momaya Press Short Story Competition. His poetry has appeared in Sentinel and Real 8 magazines. Poems are also due to appear in a number of print literary magazines shortly. He now writes full-time and lives in Houston, Texas with his American wife.

On the day that the bank is robbed in the frontier town of Krillingaeth, Moon’s father mysteriously disappears. His father’s loyal friend Crumwin Shnort whisks the boy away for safety’s sake. On the journey from Krillingaeth to his Great Cousin Minskit’s house at Glebna-By-The-Sea, Moon learns of his father’s secret. On that fateful journey however, they are ambushed. Crumwin Shnort is murdered. Moon escapes and begins his own adventure to find his father. The reader is taken on an adventure through fantastic landscapes in which Moon meets up with two other children who have their own very good reasons for running away and joining him.

Eighteen years have passed since the three children Moon, Wump and Polinella were launched into an adventure to save Moon’s father and help to defeat the evil Menghis Bad-Baladin. Now they are grown up and two of them at least are married. Through the mischievous actions of Wump’s son Li’l Wump, the whole family finds themselves caught up in another adventure as they try to find the missing book of The Ice Spells of Krollinad.
