 I am a PhD mechanical engineer with a specialty in aerospace composite materials. I love science in general, and I love writing.
I currently live in Wichita, Kansas, but I have lived many places in the U.S. and Canada. I consider myself a "North American", though I am a U.S. citizen.
Although most of my published work has been technical, I do some fiction writing also. Samples of my fiction and non fiction writing are available in the lefthand column of this page.

- Winner, National Science Foundation Creativity in Engineering Award
- Winner, Sunflower Mensa Horror Story Writing Contest (2003)
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis in aerospace composite materials and structures. Also qualified in engineering mechanics (stress analysis), statistics including Six Sigma Black Belt, and MBA/Industrial Engineering Operations Management
