Sandra Shevey has been a writer since 1968 specializing in film and filmstars. Her seminal women in film essays have appeared in many journals, including The New York Times. She devised original women and minorities in film courses for American universities in the 1970s.
She has amassed an amazing audio archive of superstar interviews with among others Alfred Hitchcock, John Lennon, Shirley MacLaine, Peter Fonda, Peter Falk, Jeff Bridges, Stockard Channing, Lauren Hutton, Barbara Hershey, etc.
Since residing in the UK (1984) she has profiled travel for the English Tourist Board and in 1990 began her own business of London walks beginning with educational walks around the London street markets. In 1999 she added The Alfred Hitchcock London Locations Walk (adding yet the New York City leg in 2001) as well as two megastar walks based upon her books `The Marilyn Scandal` (Marilyn Monroe) and `The Other Side of Lennon` (John Lennon)

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Authored seminal women in film article for The New York Times, `Down With Myth America` (24 May 1970)
- Compiled comprehensive archive of audio interviews with numerous megastars (some lasting for 4/5 hours), including Alfred Hitchcock, John Lennon, Shirley MacLaine, Dustin Hoffman, Jeff Bridges, Stockard Channing, Jon Voight, Paul Simon and others
- Pioneered women and minorities in film courses at American universities in the 1970s
- Devised the Alfred Hitchcock London/New York City Location Walks using original film set designs to compare real and reinvented set locations.
Devised London Street Market Tours, an educational approach to street market walks, which in November 2004 were subscribed by Westminster City Archives, London
