Darren Anderson lives in Nanaimo, BC,Canada with his wife and daughter. He is currently an English/Creative Writing student at Malaspina U/C. Darren has work published in various magazines, newspapers, anthologies and ezines including Aalst, Forget Magazine, Log Cabin Chronicles, Nuvein, CC&D, The Breath Ezine, Voice, and most recently in the Canadian Bulletin of Medical History, The Ballarat Review(Australia), and Leaf Press. Darren has two chapbooks of poetry, Seasons(CNV Press), and Hidden Among the Pine(Island Scholastic Press). Darren has recently been awarded the 2004 top achievement award by the Nanaimo Arts Council, and in 2006, invented a poetry form called the West Coast Sonnet.

3Cup Morning 2001 Poetry Contest winner. - Currently an instructor for the Malaspina Continuing Education Program. Darren currently teaches Writing to Reduce Stress, Writing with Shakespeare, and Writing for Publication.

- Seasons, Darren's first chapbook was published by CNV Press.

It is with great pleasure to announce that I'm the new editor of Canadian Literature at Suite 101.com! Yeah!!

9)I just learned that my sonnet theory will be added to the English 318 course syllabus at Malaspina University. What an honor!
10)I'm working on a form called molecular poetry...details coming soon.
12) Just finishing a poetry cookbook called "Recipes of the Gods" The poetry is a narrative story written in an old Norse form. The playful poem tells the story of Hygg the chef, who gets transported to Odin's home. Hygg soon finds out that the only way to get back home is to please the god's appetites. The various savoury recipes are a combination of Canadian and traditional Icelandic recipes. More details coming soon.
