  MATTHEW CRAMER   

Matthew Cramer began his career in Hollywood as an executive assistant to the head of Print Production at Columbia Pictures in 1995. Shortly thereafter he segued into an executive assistant position for the Sr. VP of Creative Advertising--a post he held until December of 1998. During that time, he was part of the creative team that successfully marketed Jerry Maguire, Donnie Brasco, Men In Black, Air Force One and As Good As It Gets during Columbia’s then record setting year of 1997.

An opportunity to be promoted to Manager, Creative Advertising at Columbia was issued to Matthew in January of 1998 and he immediately began implementing and creating campaigns (both audio/visual and print) for movies such as 8MM, GO, & Hollow Man among others. In January 2000, Matthew was elevated to Director, Creative Advertising at Columbia and continued his creative responsibilities by supervising creation and finishing of TV spots, trailers, one-sheets, newspaper and outdoor ads. Other noteworthy films he helped devise campaigns for were Finding Forrester, Not Another Teen Movie and ALI.

In October 2001, Matthew was hired as the Director of Print and Online advertising for the United Paramount Network. He was responsible for the creative look of upn.com as well as the official Buffy The Vampire Slayer site: Buffy.com. He also headed a six person department responsible for creating and producing all trade, TV Guide magazine and print ads for the network.

In his current position as co-founder and Director of Business Development and Sales of XL, a print advertising agency located in Burbank, CA, Matthew is responsible for all new business opportunities and client relations as well as the day-to-day operations within XL.

Matthew is a 1992 graduate from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre. He also writes as a freelancer for HWY 111 and has an unscripted radio show on KCLA.com. Matthew lives in Los Angeles with his wife Trisha and daughter, Sydney.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
  • Matthew founded XL Laboratories, Inc. in 2002; an advertising agency specializing in creating and designing print campaigns for major motion picture clients.

MY NEWS:

Matthew has a wife, Trisha, a 3 1/2 year old daughter Sydney and is expecting his second child in September.
