I was born in 1970 and brought up in the beautiful city of Trivandrum
in Kerala, the greenest state in India.My state is so rich in natural beauty that the promoters of its tourism products project it as a paradise on earth, calling it 'God's Own Country.'
After graduating in Commerce from the Mar Ivanios College,Trivandrum,
one of the prestigious colleges under the Kerala University, I did a PG Diploma in Journalism to tone up my writing skills. Even while working then in the Travel and Tourism field, I started writing for various periodicals. For the last several years now I have been regularly contributing features on a variety of subjects like art, culture, music, cinema and book and film reviews to the leading newspaper 'The New Indian Express.' I have also done features for 'The Hindu,' Malayalam publications like 'The Kerala Kaumudi,' the flm fortnightly 'Chitrabhoomi' and Kerala Government's official organ 'Kerala Calling.' I have done a series of articles on Malayalam Film music, profiling important music directors, lyricists and playback singers who enriched the genre during the last five decades. I am now in the midst of writing a book on the subject.
