 I am twenty years old and I am a native of Mississippi. I was raised by my loving mother(Snow Hein Bo Ngyuen)Mildred Landrum-James and step-father Roy James. I have six brothers Dameyon, Waythain, Ayatti, Marquavious, Raymon, and Daylan. Being the only girl in the middle of six boys can at all times and at the same time be fun, interesting, boring, humiliating, and life-saving. I wouldn't trade any of them for the world however i would change some of their ways HA!!!!
I am in the United States Navy and I'm currently stationed in Pensacola, FL which is only about four hours away from home which is both great and disappointing. Sometimes you do things to get away from home and those actions you take send you right back where you started. Maybe luck, maybe faith, maybe just a poor choice of duty station who knows???
When I graduated high school I was accepted into Tougaloo College in Jackson, MS which of course was right around the bend from my home town Byram. I tried my hand in that pot and I didn't like the way it tasted or felt so I mosied on around to the military. (Another one of those things you just wish you would have thought twice about because your brain would have most definitely said, "What the heck are you doing") But I won't fib it has been an enjoyable experience and like any job it has its ups and downs and it's days of wishing I was back in grade shcool so I could just fake sick a day or two out the year and not go in. Haven't we all felt like that in some point or another in even jobs we love???
I've been writing mostly poetry and essays, and short stories since as long as I can remember and even father back than that. My mother cherishes this one story we wrote together (one which I certainly can't remember putting my soul(that's what I do with my writings now)into but hey there is not much to my younger years that I do remember or even try to recall) from a time when I was God knows how old. I guess it started then and was just about the only thing in my years that I can remeber that I hadn't quit on. It is something I truly enjoy doing.
But enough of me babbling on about nothing if you really want to know me check out my sample article entitled "ME" and it should give you an ideal of how I feel about life,who I am, what matters to me, my soul,and (of course) my writing style which varies from piece to piece but I rather like this one.
