 Hi, my name is Joyce. My nickname is Winged. I am winged yet I am not feathered enough to be called a professional writer or artist. These are my passions. I have through the decade searched for joy and identity through creative self-expression. I just finished a kind of walk through my mind in a book called "Sculpting the Heart" published by Authorhouse under the name Joyce White. It will be on the book shelves in a month or so. Expressing myself as a ceramic artist, writer and photographer has been good medicine. I personally believe being happily engaged in writing and art making is better than not; and secondly, living without depression, pain and anger is better than living with them. If you're doing something artful, and smiling, look out, you're probably having fun.
I would like to get my foot into the writing game and get acquainted with others like me, who have so much to say and need a way to say it. I also will be adding some poetry and photography. I specialize in taking pictures of my ceramic art and landscape. I marvel at Mother Nature and her beauty. I also indulge in the gifts of serendipity when at all possible. I have left room in my work for the partnership with my guardian angels and creative muses. They are my best fans.
I have two grown daughters and two sons. Only my granddaughter Heather who is 19 has the ability to read and companion me. She is my best friend. She wants to be an artist, too. Between the pages of my book, I raised my grandchildren. I'm getting more and more time on my hands and hope Blogit will keep my happily involved.
