A Little Bit About The Writer
Rebecca Clare Smith was born in North Yorkshire, England [United Kingdom]. She is an only daughter with three brothers, both older and younger. Her chief loves are being able to write and enjoying time with her psychotic cats.
She is an aspiring author of urban fiction. To date she has had poetry published in two separate books [see Accomplishments below]. She has also completed three novels (which are as yet unpublished). - Poem "Bubble And Gloop" published in the 2002 A Passion for Poetry anthology by United Press Ltd.
- Poem "North Yorkshire Crow" came first in Helmsley Poetry Competition.
- Short Story - "Time Could Have Stopped And Nobody Would Have Noticed" came within the top three hundred of the Children's Writers' Services international short story competition 2006.Click to view.

[23rd Oct 2009] Nearly finished book 3, Secrets!
[14th Feb 2010] 2 Chapters & an Epilogue off the end of book 3, Secrets. Getting ready to have my official site revamped.
[23rd Mar 2010] Finally finished Secrets. Doing some editing to Dark Side of the Moon (the first in the JLM Series) and then hopefully sending it off to literary agents. Also getting a new site sorted out (the old one is still there for now if you want to visit).

[Dark Side of the Moon is the first in the series of as of yet unpublished books following Jocasta Lizzbeth Moonshadow]
Jocasta always wanted to be a normal witch like her sisters, but she was hunted down with her father and younger brother by the Necromancer when she was just a child. Jo managed to survive and was hidden away, but why did the Necromancer want them dead...?
Now she's back home and about to start at Lark Hall High. Suddenly her eyes begin changing colour. How can she start school like this? What will people say?
And then her gaze locks with Salem Sarandon...
Once more, her world is turned upside down. Strange things start happening and Jo doesn't know what to do. Is the Necromancer still after her?

Something terrible happened last year...
Jocasta is afraid. People have died because of her. She's alone. The person she loves is gone. Somebody in the school is feeding information to the Necromancer... And the creature is after her. What's so special about her, though?
Is it her abilities? Is it the fact that she's the daughter of Robin Moonshadow?
Or is it something else entirely?
Starting her second year at Lark Hall High, it's Jo's chance to find out what's really going on. Are the people around her who they really seem to be? Who else has to die at the hands of the Necromancer before the creature gets its hands on her?
