My name is Jonathan "Mark" Anders. I was born in Asheville, NC February 9th, 1960. I graduated from Enka High School near Asheville in 1978. After that, I served four years in the U.S. Navy (1978 to 1982). I spent the next five years in the business world working primarily for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. In the Spring of 1985 I began studying for the ministry at Fruitland Baptist Institute in Hendersonville, NC. In the Fall, I married Betsy Kay from Asheville. We had our first child (a daughter) in Nov. 1986. After graduating from Fruitland with an Associates Degree in Dec. 1988, I began working on my Bachelors degree at Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC. During that time, I began my ministry as a pastor in a local church near the college. It was during that time that we had our second child (another daughter) Following graduation in the Spring of 1991, I took a year off from school until May of 1992. At that time, my wife, two daughters, and I moved to Fort Worth, TX to begin studying for my Masters Degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Later that same Fall, I started classes and within a few months I had been called to a church as pastor just south of Fort Worth. I served there for the duration of my studies traveling back and forth to school. In May 1996, I graduated with my M-DIV degree and within a few months, returned to North Carolina as the pastor of a church in Salisbury, NC. After serving four years there, I left the ministry and returned to the business world. I began working in the Telecommunications industry where I have been ever since. I have been a sales rep. for Time Warner Cable since June 2002.
