Since reading Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes in high school, Sandra Isbell has been interested in writing. Not until fifteen years later, when she joined the North Fork Oklahoma Writers Group, did she pursue her writing career.
Married to her husband, Garry, for thirteen years and with three boys to keep her busy, Sandra has been able to accomplish a lot. Along with writing, she is a committee member for the local Cub Scout Pack, a volunteer at her children’s school and supports her husband’s Air Force career for thirteen years.
Sandra believes God makes you work for what you achieve in life, not handing it to you on a silver platter.

- Wrote my first poem 2004
Our Love....
Where are you in my dreams
Lost through time, wondering alone
Is my love strong enough to hold you
Have we drifted so far apart, we no longer know.
Where am I in your heart
Buried so deep, holding tight and strong
Have you forgotten me, left to love alone
Is our love strong enough to hold it's own.
As I wonder how and where and why
I think of the love we shared through all time
Carrying us across our dreams
Holding on for eternity - Having my first poem published by the American Poet Society!
