I am a graduate of West Virginia University, Morgantow with a Bachelor of Arts in English. I have spent most of my life in WV where I now live with my husband Carl and our mini daschand Dover. (Dover was a wedding present we gave each other on our honeymoon last June) I have been writing stories for awhile now, most of them revolving around the same little girl Arvaline and her pets. I also write and journal about depression, anxiety and Bipolar disorder. I have dealt with each of these disorders my adult life. Unfortunately, I did not know what was going on until a major episode this year that has allowed me to get the help I need and to feel comfortable telling people about these disorders.
Even thought I write stories for childern my husband and I do not have any at this time. We are content to be "doggie parents."
My parents and brother and sister-in-law are a very big part of who I am also by offering support for me during my low times and manic stages.
I am looking forward to having my stories and essays viewed by a wide audiance with the intent of publishing the first of many books over my career.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- I am going to be a poet in the upcoming book by The International Society of Poetry. MY workd can be seen at www.poetry.com under Arvaline Harris.
- I will also be featured in the upcoming "Who's Who of Poetry" also by the International Society of Poetry.
