 I entered the work force as an apprentice to an old shoe traveller. He taught me how to be proud of who I am. Shoe people have forged a very close knit community that takes much pride in their history. Once a shoe man, always a Shoe Man...well, Shoe Lady.
After accumulating a very large collection of footwear, I moved on to the familiar pursuits of a young lady and found my self married (but still kept my hand at collecting...LOL). A very short two years later, my first born son came into the world.
Four years flew by with the fun and adventures of my little boy, all full of rocket ships and toy trucks for exploring his sand box world. I found then, I was yearning for the other shelves of the toy store. Doll houses and dainty demi tea sets.
My daughter came to visit the pretty world of lace curtains and added bubbles to our baths. Our lives had become full with battles of joy. He has that I want this, let me make you happy.
I went back to work for peace and adult kind. But still I missed the seconds spent with each of them.
So along came my wee surprise and I was back home into a mêlée of three. Brother and Sister, no room to share as sister to sister joined through twin beds across the great divide 'tween them both.
I am Mom, I am me, I am...the three I forged make test to me and prove my worth for all to see generation to generation. I am, they are them because of me.
Ok, so I am not a great poet. But my daughter number two who shows the talent, inspired me... so I have added a short one in :-)
