Born in April of 1947 in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains, honored to be the last of the "baby boomers", the first 53 years of life for me was unique to me as is everyone's.
I worked in management for 35 years until May of 2000 when I was forced to take disability. Diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1987, the journey has given me time to ponder life among the masses, enabled me to be exposed to parts of our society that I otherwise would not have encountered (i.e., the disabled, the ill, the research scientists, professional advocacy organizations, etc.), and caused me to ponder the purpose of my life entotal...I feel I have much to say that bears sharing. In 2000, I co-founded an International Parkinson's non-profit organization which now has over 800 members representing all 50 states and 19 countries. I maintain our website which requires not only technical ability but, because of the medium, a special expertise for communicating through the written word.
The 21st Century is evolving into an exciting, life changing and introspective time in my life. I believe each of us have an obligation to share life's lessons in one way or another. Writing is my attempt at "Making a Difference"!

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Developed website and have written various informational articles on site. PLWP, Inc. listed in My Favorite Links below.
- I have written a short fictional novel that could easily be transformed into a screenplay. I'm still editing it. Set in the late 60's early 70's, the PURPLE SHADE is a portrayal of diversity in action.
