Ameth Carmicheal did not grow up longing to be a writer; in fact, the urge, strong as it is, is relatively recent. After graduating from a local university. She began teaching first grade at a private school in Dallas, Texas. Concurrent with teaching, Ameth began writing features for local newspapers and magazines, taking up subjects in art, education, and publishing.
Ameth Carmicheal ventured into poetry with "Color Me Imperfect And Real," a biographical poetic collection of a woman's unwavering determination to experience a blissful existence despite her inadequacies.
Ameth has been married to a wonderful man for 15 years. They live in Dallas, Texas, have three greater than life children, love to read and write, and volunteer at the local elementary school. She has three collections of poetry available at this time, and two children's books. She is currently working on another children's book "Bobby Baker Goes To Second Grade," the third in the Bobby Baker Series For Children.
