After completing a bachelor's degree in biology and masters degree in psychology, Tami went on to explore life.
In her convoluted career path, she has wandered into zoo keeping, copywriting, market research, herb farming, pharmaceutical sales, and finally teaching. She's currently an adjunct college professor, teaching courses in cell and microbiology.

Master’s Thesis: Completed behavioral research on competition for resources among the school’s captive squirrel monkey population. In 1994, published thesis titled Correlates of food holder response to food stealing attempts among female squirrel monkeys. Also responsible for animal husbandry of captive squirrel monkeys and red-bellied tamarins.
