Aged 50 I weighed 27 1/2 stone, then had a car accident which got me thinking....
Decided to make sure that if I had a 'second chance' I should really make better of it this time...
Aged 53 I weighed 12 1/2 stone, and my friends were calling me
"The Incredible Shrinking Man".
They were even more incredulous when I completed the Great North Run - the largest half-marathon in the world, running for The Prostate Cancer Charity.
During the training for the run I started a 'blog' on my exploits, which receives an average of over 10,000 hits per month. So I started a website to try to help others who wanted to lose weight.
I have had a lot of media interest, with an article in a Sunday newspaper, a live interview with Jonathan Edwards on BBC 1 at the start of the GNR, and numerous local radio spots on losing weight, and advice tips to others.
I am now considering 'writing the book'....

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Losing 15 stone in 2 1/2 years, without surgical intervention. (I'm not half the man I used to be....)
- Running a half marathon at age 53...

MY NEWS:
I am going to run the London Marathon on 13th April, and the Edinburgh Marathon on 25th May. After all, I never do things 'by half' and the Great North Run was only a 'half' marathon....
