 My name is Sandy/AKA San-d. I'm a substitute school teacher, wife, mother of five, and a grandmother of four. I love spending time with my family and being my kids MOM. I'm also a creative writer of poetry. I really enjoy entering into contests that give a "basic" and or "theme" to write about. This really seems to make me go into my "creative mode" by relating to certain situations and or subjects and then putting them down into verse. Lots of my poetry is created in this manner and then some from my own personal life's experiences and situations. I Also write songs and am in the process of trying to promote some of them. One of my favorites is titled, "I Woke Up This Morning" which can be read when entering my Bio. along with a few others that I have posted on this site. I enjoy writing about any and all categories of life, whether it be song writing or poetry... Sandy/San-d

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Some of my poetry has been published into the yearly anthologies. This year I was chosen to have one of my pieces published in the "Whoes Who in Poetry" Anthology addition along with my own personal bio next to my work.
- The International Society of Poets have also nominated me
as Poet of the Year for 2004 along with a few others. - I also have one of my pieces that will be entered into the International Poetry Competition.
- And last but not least I have one of my favorite pieces that will be entered into Voicenet.org publications very soon.

MY NEWS:
I am in the process of trying to get some of my songs out to the public. Most of my songs are ballad and or country styles....I know one day my songs will be recognized..
