  RACHAEL B

My name is Rachel, i just one day felt really upset and wrote a poem and surprisingly enough it was an easy way to release anger and tension. I am still at school, currently doing my gcse's. my favourite things include writing, painting, sculpting and drawing, music and shopping like any typical girl. I havent yet wrote a book but it is one of my ambitions when i am older that i want to forful.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
  • The Candle

I am a candle, in a dark room, with no window light,
No wax to burn, where are you, sun? , Moon?
The door is shut, so tight I cannot breathe,
I am small and de-fenceless, I am lost without a flame,
I can not see, A flame would bring peace in this room,
the door unlocks, opens gradually until, it is half open,
it bring light, I feel the presence of a person,
"are you okay? " says a soft sounding voice,
"yes" l say, my quiet voice goes un heard, he did not hear,
the room is too noisy, the room is talking loudly,
I can hear echoing, yet again " are you okay? ",
I tried moving, I am glued to the bed I lay on,
I have no choice, I cannot got to him, he has flame to give,
but I can not receive it, the door closes, I wanted that flame,
with a flame, I am noticed, I can see, but I am stuck,
abandoned by him, I don't know his name?
If I did, I could call, he would listen to the my plea,
all of a sudden, the room is still, quiet,
now it is peaceful and I am at ease, he comes in,
come to me, gives me a flame, I say "thank you",
my voice is heard, now my candle seems bigger,
I have been seen, because some one saw me, now I have a light,
the atmosphere is good, I am noticed,
because I am lighting up the room,
but what will happen when there is no more wax?
  • The day we first met

I will never forget the day we first met, on that hot scorching summer's day,
I went for a stroll on the beach, to watch the picturesque sunset,
It was so magnificence, such an irresistible opportunity not to miss,
As I looked in the sky and around where the sky met the sea,
All I could see was the striking desirable colours,
They were radiant reds, glistening greens, beaming blues,
So many outstanding colours, they just made me speechless.

I sat on a log watching the sunset, as it was going down it began to go dark,
As the darkness grew the sky was beginning to fade,
With all the excitement of watching the sunset set,
It was though an electric shock had gone threw me,
As I saw the beauty of the sunset,
I threw my self on to the dazzling sand,
It was such a sensational feeling.

I grasped the sand with my hand then I let it go,
It was swept away with the faint breeze,
I could slightly hear the palm trees moving,
The sea was in as far as it could go,
I was sat on a log in with a perfect view of the sunset,
Lots of palm trees behind me, a view of the extensive beach,
It was such a spectacular, perfect setting, it made me feel so safe.

I noticed something in the distance,
I couldn’t make anything out it was that distant,
As this light figure came closer I wondered more and more what it was,
As it drew closer it made more anxious and keen to find out,
It suddenly became closer and closer,
There was someone on a divine white horse,
Been ridden where the sand and sea meet.

Yet it became nearer and nearer,
The man was topless and had a toned torso,
He had eyes that just swepted you away
His eyes dazzled, they were so delightful and so indescribable,
My eyes froze, they could not look in any other direction,
Perhaps he had some hypnotic power that put me in a trance,
So the only direction I would look in was his.

By now I could just see the footprints left by his horse,
He had healthy athletic muscles and gleaming brown eyes,
He had this unique smile that I'll never forget,
He was so charismic and the light from the sunset,
It really captured his muscular body,
My heart began to go faster,
He was almost near to me,
    My heart was now throbbing.

Then he noticed me, our eyes met,
His horse slowed down and began to come towards,
I felt a slight tingle in my arm, I thought I was dreaming,
That’s when I realized he was coming to me,
For a reason I really did not know,
At the moment I began to weak at my knees,
I felt so passionate about him.

At that time I did not know him,
Why should I feel like this about a complete stranger?
What did he want? I didn’t have to wait long,
As he rode up towards me, his horse grinded down to a halt,
That was the first time since he saw me that his eyes left mine,
He tied his horse up on neighboring palm tree,
He came closer, by this time I started getting nervous.

He came over to me, now he was standing there in front of me,
I wanted to talk to him but the words just wouldn’t come out of my mouth,
He just dazed into me eyes, he looked speechless,
I tried to smile, but I found it hard because my body would not move,
It froze when I first saw him until this moment,
I stood up from the log and smiled,
    His facial expression changed.

At the time the idea came across my mind that I would faint.
I politely said " Hi", strangely I got no response,
The breeze was getting unpleasantly cold,
So immediately I untied my shawl and wrapped myself in it,
He said " Hi, what is your name?"
I answered " Maria", I was so glad I conversed with him,
Again I fell frozen in the moment.

He came closer, took me in his arms and kissed me,
It was a shock, I was surprised, he was a total stranger,
He swepted me up into his arms and placed me on his horse,
Even thought I did not know him I felt secure,
I was so overwhelmed with everything that had happened,
He then got on his horse and rode off following the sunset,
That was day we first met, one day I'll never forget.
  • My baby snatched from a cradle

My baby snatched from a cradle.
Who would do such a thing?
Take somebody else's child; my child.
Take the parent's symbol of love, my symbol.
My baby was just snatched who will get her back to me?
I feel such a loss; deep down inside of me.
A damage what can never be restored.
Not having my daughter is like not having an identity,
All I want is my helpless babe,
How will she survive with out me?

    I am that child.
I have been deprived of my mother's breast milk,
Left alone at birth for reasons I don’t understand.
Where am I? Why am I here?
Where is she? She who gave birth to me?
Her enchanting voice I heard in the womb.
    The person I never saw.
Our bond is irreplaceable, it will never be broken,
I wish I were back in her womb.

Two people who will never meet,
Why was it such a difficult birth?
Two people, one birth, but unfortunately only one survived.
