1999 2001 BBC Asian Network as in-charge of South Asian politics and Current affairs (I was appointed as the Producer of BAPS Syndication Unit. The unit not only syndicated news material from the BBC World Service for the various local radio stations in the UK, but also produced original news material on South Asian current affairs. I presented a news item every morning and also looked into research and script writing)
2001 2002 BBC World Service, London, Producer of The World Today program (I worked as Producer/Broadcast Journalist for the World Today South Asia and World Today Europe and East Asia. I liaised with the guests as well as produced original script and audio material. The job also entailed extensive research and negotiation abilities.

2003 2004 The Times of India, City Correspondent, Kolkata (I reported on various social, cultural and political issues. The job entailed good writing skills and research abilities. I was also editorial co-ordinator for the property supplement its content, layout and design was my responsibility.
2004 2005 Web editor, CAD Digest, California (I searched for articles online on Computer Aided Design, Engineering and manufacturing. I used Front Page Express to design the front page of the e-zine everyday and place the links with summaries of each article. The summaries were original and aimed at making even laymen understand the intricacies of what is a highly technical field.
LAST SALARY Rs. 16000 per month + Rs. 800 internet fees
My last job was home-based and hence I have the set up to work from home in case its necessary.
