BookPart One of The Mothersource Cycle: The Tale of Chadizah

The Tale of Chadizah begins in the distant future with a young woman who is on the verge of her destiny named Adula Zabadu. As in all things to see the future one must know the past, and her past, the roots of her destiny are begun with a seed some thirteen hundred cycles (years) before her birth. She visits the High Librarian of Agrippa and is told the story of the birth of her great ancestor Lodiva Graze, who is also called Chadizah. The Tale of Chadizah is the first part of an account of the history of the world of Lyantho.
Lyantho is by no means a perfect world, it is, like any a world fraught with hardships and traumas and people coping with real prophesies and their inabilities to drastically alter destiny.

"I do not hate men; they simply do not exist in this particular universe."

"Lyantho is not our world, it is my world."

Synopsis

Adula digs deeper into the maze of Chadizah's past searching for knowledge long since hidden in the Tome of the Ancient Order. The cadets of the Nerrovar School race against time to escape the rapidly approaching Amonu army.
A recurring and prophetic dream reveals that Raisa Noduri is the rightful ruler of Nerrovar. As new abilities manifest within her, she must raise an army to emancipate her long-enslaved people. She finds herself careening to a collision course with the Warrior Queen of the Obsidian Blade.
Lelia Orun finds her first love in the unlikely person of Ban Ruda. Their new passion is shattered as the call to duty beckons her to a nation on the brink of civil conflict. Caught between family duty and national honor, she must choose a side.
A hurried and heedless pact with a Denizen looses Chadizah all rights to her infant daughter. Forsaking her matron, her throne and her duties she runs away from the sanctuary and tranquility of Agrippa to pursue a perilous task: complete the Seven Sacred Cities. Her path has six possibilities and even the trail of least resistance is rife with hazards and treachery. Her expedition will place her in the middle of many shadowy natives who blur the lines between the benign and malevolent. things are seldom what they seem and she must gain their confidence and make alliances to reach the city and nation which bear her name.

There are no fairy tales in Lyantho.
