I am 17 years old and have been writing poetry for only a short while, but have been able to build up a website of all my work.
At GCSE level I studied the following subjects, and received the following grades:
AA - Double Science
A - English Language
A - History
A - R.E Shortcourse
B - English Literature
B - Mathematics
B - French
B - German
B - Art
C - Statistics
C - I.C.T
I am looking forward to enterring college in the next academic year.
I intend to take the following courses:
- A Level - History
- A Level - Textiles
- A Level - English Literature
- Personal Assistant Course
- Creative Writing/Journalism
I am looking to broaden my knowledge on other writers and their work.
At the same time I look to expand my vocabulary, and knowledge of not only different forms of poetry but also different techniques used whilst writing.
A while back I started writing a book but as I have since conentrated more on my poetry and therefore left my book for the time being.
When I first told people of my website, they jumped at the chance to read what was on it. I heard from them that there were people crying from reading them.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Whilst doing work experience in year 10 I had the chance to work with a journalist in the media department of Coutts & Co. bank. This was a great opportunity for me as it gave me the chance to pick up on some pointers on how to create interesting writing pieces. I was also able to write some pieces for the banks newsletter which gave me experience too.
- I have read many books.
My favourites include:
"His Dark Materials" - The Trilogy by Philip Pullman.
"Artemis Fowl" - The Trilogy by Eoin Colfer.
"Across The Nightingale Floor" - And Its followers by Lian Hearn.
"Sabriel" - And its followers by Garth Nix. - I sent one of my poems for a review with www.poetry.com and have recently recieved a notification that it is a semi finalist in its international competition. It will also be published in a book along with other writer's work.

MY NEWS:
I currently have three websites set up which are listed below. One has the whole range of my works, one is a site all about myself and the other is simply a site filled with pictures of my friends and I. Please feel free to have a look.
I have also just had a baby whom I've called Joey and so many of my newer poems have been about my feelings about the pregnancy. About the way I could feel him kicking etc. they also include thoughts too ie. what I have thought about at certain times and how I have felt about the situation.
