 I always heard it's wonderful being 40 and I can vouch for a subjective confirmation of that statement!.
My husband, Pieter, and live in Hoedspruit, a small town adjacent to the Kruger National Park in South Africa and it has been a wonderful environment in which our two daughters could grow up in. Our eldest, Janka, is now 23 and has settled in Cape Town. Sasha, our youngest, finished school, and is contemplating a career in nature conservation. She spent a wonderful six months at a summer camp in Missouri, USA, and is now working at a lodge near the Kruger National Park.
We all love the bush and realise everyday that, even though we have been here for so many years, we still have so much to learn and gain by being here -
not only from the wilderness, but also the diversity of people and cultures we share. We have been truly blessed and are greatful to our Lord, Jesus Christ for His mercy and love.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- With a friend, started a newspaper, the Kruger2Canyon, for Hoedspruit, in November 2002. Left in December 2003.
- Launched the Kruger Park Times, a newspaper for the Kruger National Park, in March 2004, in partnership with my brother, Gavin Olivier.
- Launched a second newspaper, a community newspaper, the Hoedspruit Week, in January 2006.
