My name is Heather and I live in Kingston, Ontario. I have been writing pretty much my whole life and love the release it gives. I have been told that my poetry is of a morbid nature yet people do like what they read. I mainly write poetry but I like trying my hand at short stories and articles as well. My inspiration tends to come from my environment; I hope to stir emotions or thought in people and enjoy the challenge.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- When I was in high school I won a poetry contest the topic being Remembrance Day. It was published in a newsletter put out by Veterans in the local area.
- When I graduated from high school I was voted class poet. Instead of just a poem I chose to sing and since I don’t play an instrument so it was just me.
- I have poems published on poetry.com as well as the Maita Poetry site as well.
- I have also started my own website http://lureofletters.spaces.msn.com/ which shows poetry, pictures and just general ramblings.
