I am a 55 year old scottish woman, always scribbled stories for my children, but not able to break into full time writing until now.My great grandfather was a published writer himself. I am a qualified Occupational Therapist, and I am also a Registered Nurse Much of my remit was in Psychiatry, and I have long had a fascination with the mind and how it works. This has led me to write a novel based on the interaction of people, why they do what they do,in the area of interpersonal relationships. I have coupled this with a keen interest in Napoleonic History,( I am related to Admiral Duncan of Camperdown on my father's side who was active at the time Nelson was alive.) and have almost completed my work on the relationship of Admiral Horatio Nelson, with his mistress, Emma, Lady Hamilton, exploring it from a new angle, by looking at the background and personality of them together with Sir William Hamilton, her husband, with whom Nelson lived, in a three sided relationship. until William Hamilton's death.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- I have used my life experience to build a solid foundation for my novel which approaches the man/mistress relationship from a fresh new angle. My research has shown that though there are many books on the life of Nelson and several on Lady Hamilton, I believe my interpretation of their relationship is unique.

Emma, Lady Hamilton.....Emma Hamilton would live with hin openly, in a three cornered relationship, the " Tria Juncta in Uno"and give him the child he craved, with her husband's blessing. Their love defied all reason , crossing continents, class and convention, and would last until he died, with her name on his lips and her fing on his finger.

A sample of my writing....
.. " She was close to him, too close, he thought, he felt her warm breath at his ear, " Tears, Horatio? She had seen the glitter in his eyes. It was his turn now to feel his emotions naked, and exposed to her scrutiny...He thought on the revelation that his wound meant nothing to her, he looked at her fingers as they tenderly stroked the ugly stump of flesh that hung from his shoulder, the remnants of his arm." she does not see the chrysalis, she sees the butterfly, she does not see the cripple, she sees the hero" he thought. He had expected her sharp intake of breath, and to draw back, when she saw the wound, oozing foul smelling pus and had shut his eyes in despair, certain she too, like his wife, would reject him but instead, felt her warm tears fall silently on his bare chest that had been kissed by the angels of war, in countless white scars he wore, that the fingers of war had scribbled over it
