 For many years, I was a high school teacher in Sydney, New South Wales. My main teaching areas were English and History. Needing some "new time", I moved to the "Eden land" of the Western Tiers in Tasmania. After 2 years, the next move was to Melbourne and a return to teaching. I now teach English (as English co-ordinator) and the electives Myths & Legends and History Mysteries.
As a young child, I loved writing poetry about nature. My poetry now may wander around a more diverse range of topics, but I still hope to retain a sense of music and fresh wonder in my words. At all times, I am very conscious of the sounds and lyrical flow of words.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- I have edited and adapted a large number of books for Blake Education. Originally, they were British publications and I adapted/edited them to suit the Australian curriculum. They were books mainly on literacy skills for high school students. Some of my poetry was included as part of the text.
- Recently co-wrote (with another teacher) a play for teenagers called "Riff Raff". The play's storyline involved a rebel group of "down town" teenagers who love doing graffitti. But then, one of the students is sent to a more "posh" school.
- On Helium, I have built a substantial portfolio of my writing to showcase a range of topics and writing styles. Some topics include Feng Shui, Buddhism, the role of women in World War II, Ancient History and Literature reviews.
- HubPages showcases my writing combined with visuals (including 2 videos I created on Australian Bruce Dawe's poetry). The Poetry Showcase highlights the spiritual, philosophical, reflective nature of my poetry.
